Introduction to Disaster Relief, Chainsaw, and Flood Recovery – Chattanooga (East)

August 5, 2023 – Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. To pre-register for this class, contact Doyle Pittman at dpittman12@epbfi.com or (423) 240-1274with your names and classes desired.

Please preregister by Tuesday, August 1, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials.

The credentialing fee is $40 (effective January 1, 2023). This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID, hat, background check, and membership pin, but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.

To be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”

7:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. – Registration

8:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. – Introduction to Disaster Relief

10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Break

10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Chainsaw Operation & Safety (classroom)

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Lunch ($6 for those that pre-register)

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Flood Recovery
