Welcome to Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief
Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief is a cooperative, volunteer-driven ministry of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and its affiliated churches. As part of the larger Southern Baptist Disaster Relief network, this ministry relies entirely on the dedication of volunteers who generously offer their time, energy, skills, and resources to serve those affected by disasters. Their mission is to bring help, hope, and healing in times of crisis.
Within Tennessee, there are over 5,000 currently trained and credentialed volunteers from churches and associations who are ready to respond to a disaster of any size, anywhere.
Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief seeks to cooperate with other organizations that also work in the areas of disaster response. Some of these organizations are Send Relief, The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and other organizations where possible.
