If you have been previously credentialed or your credentials are going to expire soon, please take the opportunity and get re-credentialed, so that you may be ready to serve when a disaster occurs. Previously credentialed volunteers need to be recredentialed every 3 years. Please click on the “Volunteer Credentialing Guidelines” below to see what you need to do to be re-credentialed.
Introduction to Disaster Relief and Specialized Classes – Morristown (East TN)

Please pre-register by Monday, January 12, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials.
The credentialing fee is $40. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID, hat, background check, and membership pin, but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.
PLEASE bring exact cash or check made payable to: TBMB or Tennessee Baptist Mission Board along with your registration forms to make registration move more smoothly and faster. See link below for registration forms.
In order to be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Registration
8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Flood Recovery
8:30 – 10:30 a.m. Introduction/Recertification to Disaster Relief (2 hr. class)
8:30 – 11:30 a.m.                  FormStack (3 hr. class) (Bring cellphone or computer)
8:30 – 11:30 a.m.                  Spiritual Preparation/Evangelism (3 hr. class) . (This class needs to be taken in addition with another specialty class for callout purposes
such as mass feeding, chainsaw, flood recovery, etc.; this class is to prepare you for a callout.)
10:00 – 10:15 a.m. Break
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.      Chainsaw Operation & Safety (Classroom) (2 hr. class)
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.      Forklift Operation & Safety/Skid steer (Classroom) (2 hr. class) (Must pass test to take hands-on class after lunch)
12:15 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch – $6/person
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM               Damage Assessment (1 1/2 hr. class)
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM               Rebuild (1 1/2 hr. class)
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM              Chainsaw Operation & Safety (Classroom) (2 hr. class)
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM              Forklift Operation & Safety/Skid steer (Hands-on) (2 hr. class)
