If you have had Introduction to Disaster Relief and / or any specialized classes, and your class certification has expired or will expire this year, please take the opportunity and get re-certified, so that you may be able to serve when a disaster occurs. If you take Introduction to Disaster Relief, you need to recertify every 3 years, regardless of activation. To take Recertification class, you must be an existing volunteer.

Introduction to Disaster Relief and Chainsaw Operation & Safety – Knoxville (East TN)

Please pre-register by Monday, October 10, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials and/or lunch count.
The credentialing fee is $40 (effective January 1, 2023). This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID, hat, background check, and membership pin, but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.
To be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”

1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Introduction to Disaster Relief
3:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. Break
