If you have had Introduction to Disaster Relief and / or any specialized classes, and your class certification has expired or will expire this year, please take the opportunity and get re-certified, so that you may be able to serve when a disaster occurs. If you take Introduction to Disaster Relief, you need to recertify every 3 years, regardless of activation. To take Recertification class, you must be an existing volunteer.

Introduction to Disaster and Flood Recovery – Knoxville (East TN)

April 24, 2021 – Fellowship Church, 8000 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN. To pre-register for this class, contact Julie Carr at (804) 387-5756 or email@example.com with your names and classes desired. Masks are required while on campus.
Please preregister by Tuesday, April 20, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials.
The credentialing fee is $36. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID and background check but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.
In order to be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”
9:15 AM – 9:45 AM Registration
9:45 AM -11:45 AM Introduction to Disaster Relief (2 hr.)
11:45 AM – 12:15 PM Lunch – $6/person
12:15 PM – 1:45 PM Flood Recovery
