If you have had Introduction to Disaster Relief and/or any specialized classes, and your class certification has expired or will expire this year, please take the opportunity and get re-certified, so that you may be able to serve when a disaster occurs. If you take Introduction to Disaster Relief, you need to recertify every 3 years, regardless of activation. To take Recertification class, you must be an existing volunteer.

Introduction to Disaster Relief and Chainsaw or Flood Recovery – Murfreesboro (Middle TN)

Date & Time:   Saturday, March 27th | 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Location:         New Vision Baptist Church | 1750 N Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129
Cost:                $24* – Training | $6.00 – Lunch (optional)

Concord Baptist Association has graciously agreed to pay 33% of the normal training fee of $36.00 for all participants.  Masks are required on campus.

Registration training cost Includes background check and laminated ID cards. Refresher is free to all Disaster Relief volunteers with current certifications.

Training Schedule:

  • 7:30-8:00 | Arrive/Checkin
    • Please use the  “Welcome 2” entrance off of N Thompson Lane.
  •  8:00-10:00  | Introduction to Disaster Relief
  • 10:00-10:15 | Break
  • 10:15-11:45 | Chainsaw O & S
  • 11:45-12:30 | Lunch ($6/person or lunch on your own)
  • 12:30-2:00   | Flood Recovery

*Snacks will be provided during registration and breaks.

Registration is required by Tuesday, March 23rd.   You will receive an email confirmation once your registration is complete. By registering for this event, you are giving permission for any pictures or videos to be used on New Vision’s social media or churchwide promotion.

Disaster Relief volunteers can now download the following forms to their computers and fill them out and bring them with you to training or send them to the DR office. By typing these forms, you are helping us save time with data entry and increasing our accuracy of keeping your records.
