If you have been previously credentialed or your credentials are going to expire soon, please take the opportunity and get re-credentialed, so that you may be ready to serve when a disaster occurs. Previously credentialed volunteers need to be recredentialed every 3 years.  Please click on the “Volunteer Credentialing Guidelines” below to see what you need to do to be re-credentialed.

    • Deadline: Please pre-register by Monday, February 2, 2026.
    • Online pre-registration allows us to plan ahead by knowing how many participants will be in each class and preparing the right lunch count.

💵 Credentialing Fee

  • Cost: $40 (covers, ID badge, hat, background check, membership pin, and unlimited access to basic training course for the next 3 years)

Bring exact cash or a check payable to TBMB (Tennessee Baptist Mission Board) along with your registration forms to make check-in quick and easy.

 

📚 Training Requirements

  • Step 1: Complete the prerequisite course Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief
  • Step 2: Take at least one specialized class to become fully credentialed.

      • Ham Radio Communications (hands-on) – (all morning)
      • Mass Feeding (all morning)
      • Spiritual Preparation/Evangelism (all morning) – does not count as a specialized class
      • Unit Director (Blue Hat) – requires letter of recommendation
      • Damage Assessment
      • DREW (Disaster Relief Electronic Workspace (for team leaders/team secretaries)
      • Flood Recovery
      • Site Security

      Saturday afternoon

      • Introduction to Disaster Relief (repeat from Friday night)
