DESCRIPTION:January 31 – February 1\, 2025 – First Baptist Church\, 50 Stanford Avenue\, Lexington\, TN  38351.  To pre-register for this class\, click here: https://beechriver.com/DRTrain with your names and classes desired. \nDisaster Relief Chaplaincy Class – This training will be the introductory course for those who would like to become a chaplain or as a refresher for those who are already trained as DR Chaplains. \nFriday – 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. \nSaturday – 8:00 a.m. until finished (approx. 2:00 p.m.); Lunch will be provided on Saturday at $5/person and there will be breaks. \nPlease pre-register by Monday\, January 27\, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials and/or lunch count on Saturday. \nREMEMBER THERE ARE PREREQUISTES: \n1. You have taken the Introduction to Disaster Relief in the last three years. \n2. You have downloaded and read the new introduction to DR Chaplaincy manual\, DR_Chaplain Training Manual_2016– click here.  You are responsible for printing your own personal copy and for having READ THIS MANUAL before the training. \n3. You have registered. \n4. You are among the first 20 people who register. \n5. You have a letter of recommendation from your pastor. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID\, hat\, background check\, and membership pin\, but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years. \nPlease bring exact cash or a check made payable to Tennessee Baptist Mission Board or TBMB ($40 – credentialing fee + $5 – lunch = $45/per person).
