DESCRIPTION:September 28\, 2024 – Lyons Creek Baptist Church\, 9235 Strawberry Plains Pike\, Strawberry Plains\, TN 37871.  To pre-register for this class\, contact Tony Ellis at tellisrex@att.netor (865) 591-2000 with your names and classes desired. \nPlease pre-register by Monday\, September 23\, so that we can supply you with the proper training materials and/or lunch count on Saturday. \nThe credentialing fee is $40. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID\, hat\, background check\, and membership pin\, but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years. \nTo be fully credentialed\, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.” \n7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.             Registration \n8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.          Introduction to Disaster Relief \n10:00 a.m. – 10:15 p.m.         Break \n10:15 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.          Flood Recovery \n11:45 p.m. – 12:15 p.m.            Lunch – provided free of charge \n12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.             Rebuild \n  \nRegistration Forms \nDisaster Relief volunteers can now download the following forms to their computers and fill them out and bring them to the training. Depending on which course you take\, you may need current classroom training. \nClasses being offered are: \n\nBucket Truck Classroom and Hands-On Training (all day) – includes test – Must have current Chainsaw Operations & Safety classroom training OR\nChainsaw Hands-On Training (morning class or afternoon class) – Must have current Chainsaw Operations & Safety classroom training (Please bring your own  chainsaw and PPE.) OR\nChainsaw Repair & Maintenance – Must have current Chainsaw Operations & Safety classroom training (Please bring a chainsaw\, basic toolset\, and manual\,if available.  This will be a hands-on class and you will be taking your chainsaw apart for the various maintenance tasks.)
