This afternoon, I received 2 requests from Overton County on the plateau. I am looking for individuals and teams in the area that can respond to and from on the same days to work. Here are the requests….
- They are looking for Chainsaw crews that can work with the electric company to open up right of ways so the lineman can focus on fixing the lines. They are looking for 2 10 person crews. If you cannot put together a 10-person crew they may take less (they do not know what you are capable of doing) I would also say, if you have a skid steer or tractor, take that as well. If you can put together a team to help meet this need, let me know and I will put you in touch with them. This is needed as soon as possible.
- The second it that they are looking for 5-10, teams of 2-3 persons that have access to a 4-wheel drive vehicle that could help do welfare checks folks in the rural areas of the county for them. If you have a 4-wheel drive and would like to do this, let me know and I will put you in contact with them.
Alert: I am also putting Flood Recovery and Chainsaw units on ALERT for a possible response to TX to deal with the aftermath of the winter storm that has put so many people in a deep freeze and caused a lot of trees to come down and a lot of water pipes to burst. I will keep you updated on this as I have more information.
