If you have had Introduction to Disaster Relief and / or any specialized classes, and your class certification has expired or will expire this year, please take the opportunity and get re-certified, so that you may be able to serve when a disaster occurs.

If you take Introduction to Disaster Relief, you need to recertify every 3 years, regardless of activation. To take Recertification class, you must be an existing volunteer.

Specialized Classes – Athens (East TN)

November 9 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

November 9, 2017 – McMinn-Meigs Baptist Association, 350 N. Congress Parkway, Athens, TN. To pre-register for this class, contact the associational office at mailto:mikefarmer@truevine.net or (423) 745-2248.

The credentialing fee is $36. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID and background check but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.

In order to be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”

•6:00 – 6:30 PM: Registration
•6:30 – 8:00 PM: Flood Recovery
•8:00 – 9:30 PM – Shower/Laundry

Disaster Relief volunteers can now download the following forms to their computers and fill them out and bring them with you to training or send them to the DR office. By typing these forms, you are helping us save time with data entry and increasing our accuracy of keeping your records.
